Waldport, OR Visit

Michelle invited (by default) ALL of our family to her parent's home in Waldport for the Waldport July 4th experience.  We had a great time and really want to thank Michelle and her parents for the HOURS of prep before we arrived.  I heard there was 8 hours alone of just cooking the shrimp--not counting the egg rolls, etc.  Scott and Michelle made sure we had 3 fun filled days of hikes along the gorgeous Oregon coast, the aquarium, fireworks, clamming, seafood in the quaint town of Yachats, etc.  The amenities at the Thueson's Bed & Breakfast were amazing.

There's no 'c' in a'c'quarium mom.  The Oregon coast lived up to it's reputation of being forever cold, foggy and raining even though it was 90 degrees in Beaverton.  Poor Michelle got an earful of joking/complaining about the weather but we still had a good time hanging out with family.  The fireworks were partially visible through the fog and clouds, a new experience for most of us.  Scott and I also learned how to snake a sewer line, another first for both of us.  We managed to get it unplugged.  It was a good time Shelly!

Thanks, Sean.  I know that, but it sneaked in there anyway.

thanks Michelle and Thueson family! We had a great time, even though it was a bit chilly at the coast. The hikes were very fun and scenic.

Michelle brought back a bunch of eggrolls (precooked/frozen) and she deep fried a few of them the other night.  Taste just as fresh.  Come on down Aunt Holly and have a few!
