Our Stake was awarded a proclamation  by the City of Fountain Valley last night in honor of Mormon Helping Hands Day. In return, we presented Mayor Larry Crandall with a beautiful hand made gavel set which Dr. Glen Gabler made and gave to me as a gift. This Saturday, over 400 members will be cleaning up trash from parks, planting trees, mulching, and painting benches. I've been assigned the Huntington City Beach clean up effort. By the way, Larry is a great friend, and his daughter (Jillian) joined the Church in High School and has been very active. Larry has been very supportive of our work for many years.
