TurtleFox has added some "Email Frequency Setting" options to your "Edit Notifications" page. This will allow you to either turn off all new content emails, or change it so that you now only get emailed ONCE between logins for newly added content. What that means is, you'll receive one email, and then won't get any more until you login to the system again.
We've realized that with TurtleFox's feature of recapping all newly added content on your "my home", that there is no need to send you an email for each type of new content you receive. Once you login, you can easily read new grapevine posts, new comments, and new blogs and photos, and process any new messages/friend requests. One email per login will probably be enough for most people to know that they need to login to the system to see all the new "stuff".
Circles are nearly complete, and if you haven't already noticed, you now have the ability to create as many custom circles as you want. Once you've setup all your various circles, chosen which one will be featured on your profile, then when you post a blog, you will now see a new 3rd option to show that blog only to certain circles. This is a great way of keeping in touch with only a select few of your friends at a time. For instance, if I wanted to blog about an upcoming wedding, that I knew only some of my friends were attending, then I could create a circle with those friends, and then blog to that circle.
I will soon be adding the same 3rd option to albums and events, so that you can post circle-specific events and photos. Circles are NOT groups by the way. The group functionality will be much more robust and will be more like getting your own website on TurtleFox for just you and the other members of the group. More on this later...when it's actually done.
Finally, the last announcement is that we've had some requests for personalized circles that are made just for you. We will agree to give you your own custom circle, designed per your specifications, and made private so that only you can use it, for any users that refer 10 or more users!! Once you're referal count is above 10, send us a request using the contact form of the type of circle you'd like designed for your profile page.
