Email notifications - FIXED!!!

Ok, this seems to be an ongoing theme, but I think we've finally worked out all the kinks in email notifications to prevent the annoying emails (except these important announcment ones of course.) For those that have gone in and unchecked everything in your notifications settings to stop the emails, please give it one more chance. Here is the recommended notification setting:

Email Frequency: One per login

Global Notifications: Check all boxes

 

This means that you will essentially get one email and then no more, until you login again. The only emails that you can possibly get multiple's of between logins are new friend requests and announcements.  If you DO uncheck notification options, then this will also turn off the notifications on your "my home" page which show you all new content that has been added since you last logged in, and most people find this feature very helpful.

 

I know all of this is very confusing, but trust me...try that setting, and I think most users will be happy with the volume of email and the notifications on their "my home'. :)
