Yahoo Answers

If you have not yet used Yahoo Answers, you are missing an amazing resource.  On the yahoo home page, there is a link to Answers.  You will find billions of questions being asked and answered by internet users.  It is fun to browse through the questions, and see if you know answers.

But more importantly, you can ask a question and you will get answers.

Just in the past few weeks, I have asked:

  • Why does my garage have so much condensation in it?   A couple of handymen made some suggestions for me to look at, and I solved a huge mystery finally.
  • Do I need to rent a car while on Oahu?  Some people that live in Oahu answered me by saying that I would not, because public transit is pretty good.   Going to save me some money.
  • I had a weird problem with my browser, with a giant blinking cursor, so I asked on Answers.   Less than 1 minute later, a lady responded with a weird setting that had somehow been turned on.  Took me less than 5 seconds to fix the problem.

Yahoo Answers is awesome.

I still have a strategy and guarantee that I would score. I'll even wait for his knee to get better. As you can see, there are some faithfuls out there who have heard about me and believe in me. Geoff, I think we can put this one to bed now. Brent

Aww Nice. Jason and I are going to have our Honeymoon in Hawaii a few nights in Oahu and a few nights in Kauai. Geoff and Jodie you guys should bring back some pamphlets on things to do and places to see. I know we are going to try to visit Pearl Harbor... I'm sure there is a ton to do and see there.

Pearl Harbor was my favorite on the island of Oahu.  I have been to Hawaii and Maui but not Kauai.  I liked them a lot better than Oahu.  Took the road to Hana in Maui--good for one time as it is beautiful but soooo long.  Road up to the volcano--ok for 1 time.  In Oahu went to the Polynesian Cultural Center for dinner and luau and demos of the various cultures.  Worth it for 1 time.  Went to Doles Pineapple factory in Oahu--glad I went.

We went to Kauai on our honeymoon.  Loved it.  I think I have a list somewhere of things we had recommended to us (restaurants, hikes, etc) if you're interested.

Whoever goes to Kauai you HAVE to do the innertubing down the waterways.  I know it books about 3 weeks in advance so Holly I'd look it up.  Kind of pricey but totally cool.  They give you work gloves, a hard hat with a flashlight on it and send you down the waterway in a tube.  Half of the float is through tunnels. and the rest is gorgeous greenery of course.
