first and most obvious, gas is outrageous.  salaries are at a complete standstill.  housing market is going down, down down.  interest rates are going up and up.  and now i can't even get tomatoes on my sandwich at Subway!!

Don't grandpa and grandma have lots of tomatoes at their place? Maybe you'll have to open a tomato stand outside Subway and work out how much percent of the profit you give to Frances and Floyd.

They have just cleared the CA grown tomatos so there is a run on them.  Nice bonus for the CA growers.

So I saw the tomato thing on the news yesterday.  They were saying WATCH OUT!  especially at this store, that store, this fast food place blah blah and then at the very end they say oh by the way there's only been one case in Utah and that person actually ate the tomato in New Mexico and is just being treated in Utah.  Duh!  Now why do they report such a serious news reel when in all actuality no tomatoes in Utah are bad?  Rollercoaster.

I had this conversation the other day at work.  I told my co-worker that we really have had it very easy the last 30 years.  Yea we pay too much for gas right now, but honestly, we are spoiled.

Along with the chicken, beef, and god knows what else. The tomatoes are poison. Even at WinCo. the produce has to mark all fruit and veggies with country of origin. So it can be traced back to where they were grown if people get sick.
