Warriors

Submitted by Eric on Tue, 05/01/2007 at 9:41pm.

I just finished watching Game 5 of the Warriors/Mavericks series. Even though they lost by 4 and completely choked at the end, I still thought I'd create a blog saying How About Those Warriors? This game they were behind by 21 and came back to almost win it, while away. I'm completely confident that they will take the series once they return home to their fans.

I'd like nothing better than to see Nellie embarrass his former employer, Mark Cuban.  But, it ain't over, till its over, and the Mavs have more talent.  If Nellie can get his schmos pumped up one more time, they can do it.  If they miss and it goes 3-3, then I see the Mavs making the comeback.  It all rides on the next game at Oakland.

I don't have an opinion on who wins, but I will reminise about the days when I was a fan of the warriors and good ol' Chis Mullin was on the team....those were the days!

Go warriors.  That game last night was one of the best ever, even though the warriors lost.  And watching Nellie out-coach the young Avery Johnson is also interesting.  Golden State's team has more thugs, but for once, I'm rooting for them.  Mavs and mostly Dirk are soft.  They remind me of my Uncle Brent.

Remind me again of who the Warriors and Mavericks are?  Is this a sports league?  I remember that there used to be a professional basketball leagues, but when it became a halfway house for thugs and criminals I sort of lost interest in the whole thing.  March Madness!! That's where it's at!  Oh, and 6th grade girls basketball if they are wearing Sunset Apollo uniforms.

Thugs and criminals are watchable.  I don't pay them to raise my kids, as Charles Barkley once said.  Its the commissioner and the way he allows the referees to parent the players.  Calling technicals while players clap, and laugh, cuz they get their feelings hurt?  Seriously, grow up, referees, and have some dignity.  Call the fouls, keep the game moving, and let the coaches discipline the players.

good banter!  I can clearly take either side of this (I'm certainly a huge fan of college sports, but stoked to see the local NBA team doing well).  So I'll just jump on the band wagon and say, Go Warriors!!

Well they crushed Dallas in Game 6. Hopefully they will take all that energy to Round 2 when they go to Utah/Houston.

The warriors are my new favorite team.  I am officially declaring that I have jumped on the bandwagon, for at least these playoffs.  But I still like Phoenix too.  Nash, with his nose split wide open, blood running down his face, still trying to play and beat the Spurs, was pretty awesome.

He and Tony Parker rammed their heads together, Parker went down.  Nash stayed on his feet, asking if Parker was okay, and it was Nash whose nose was split open.  The dude is tough.

Baron Davis should have been ejected when he got into Croshere's face for no reason at all.  It was fun to see GS win, but Baron Davis has quickly become the next little punk.

Eh, sorta.  Him and Austin Croshere have a long history, all the way back through high school.  So they just hate each other.  And Croshere is a bench punk, who seems to just come in and foul people really hard, cuz nobody cares if he gets ejected and suspended forever.  But whatever.  All the golden state guys have some head issues.
