The Movie FlyBoys

Well, I didn't see much advertising on this movie but I thought it was worth watching.  It's supposed to be true story or based on one but it's WWI flying aces.  Some kinda corny and impractical parts but overall enjoyable.  PG-13

The previews looked so incredibly bad, it looks like Annapolis, which I didnt even finish.

I'd say it was quite a bit better than Annapolis

I think it is that same actor who isn't my favorite but all in all I'd say it's worth a watch.

It's actually in DTS too so the fight scenes sound pretty good on surround sound.  I like watching the old planes.  Pretty amazing how those old planes were.  Just canvas, shoot them all full of holes.  Shooting your machine gun through the propeller.  No radios, just shouting and pointing to your wingmen.

The most ridiculous scene in the movie had to be when his buddy went down inbetween French and German forces on the battlefield.  He lands his plane and then runs without being shot to save his friend out from under the plane.  Good grief.

Is this movie better than Saints & Soldiers?  That movie was really boring.  I expected more. And, to top it off, the main dude was the biggest wussy.  I assumed that when they make a movie out of you it was because you did something heroic.  Not cried during every battle, and added to the frustrations of your team.
