So You Think You Can Dance

Yeah, he's pretty amazing! I don't know how he'll do on this show, because so much of it is based on learning choreography and showing mastery of many different dance styles, but he was very entertaining to watch. Leah was home this weekend, so we watched the show together, and got into a discussion of "Is this dance?" It isn't really dance to me -- more, I don't know, movement, but Leah thinks its dance. Anyway, I am SO glad this show is back on ! So much better than American Idol (which I stopped watching midway through the season).

And Geoff didn't offer me the ticket to the "So You Think You Can Dance" tour... Still mad.

i can see that argument, but i'd have to say that any time somebody freaks and tweaks their body, i guess it could be called "Dance".  Is belly dancing?  Is square dancing?  Is break dancing?  Is mosh pitting?  Some of that stuff is harder than ballet or swing.   I'll just call it all "dancing", but as far as this guy goes, I doubt he will go far, for the same reasons you mentioned.  Kind of like people i have met that can play one song super good on the piano, but they dont know anything else at all.  So, can they "play the piano?"

 

The basis of this show is to be very skilled in all styles, which I doubt he will be able to pull off.  But man, he was awesome.

That guys is pretty sweet.  Not the same guy that has the other famous robot dance on youtube is it?

Hmmmm still not convinced to watch the show.  I would if that annoying judge lady was kicked off.  How come they keep her???!!

You mean Mary the laugher? I actually really like her -- I just wish she wouldn't laugh. She always has good constructive comments.

I agree with Charolette... I like Mary too.  I wish they wouldn't put any of the bad dancers on anymore.  It's so boring to watch!!    Jodi keep watching it, it does get better when they get down to the top 20 or whatever it is.  What almost ruins the show is Kat.  She is the worst host EVER!!!

Totally agree Robie! They should definitely replace Kat.

her crooked nose is cool looking.  and holding interviews in the stairwell that echos.  thats cool too.

Tyler can't stand either of them. We fast forward through Mary just like we ended up doing with Paula. Kat is annoying too and so is her crooked nose! haha. That robot guy was on Ellen yesterday for about 2 minutes, but was amazing!

I really like Mary's comments.   Paula is so high she doesn't know what she is talking about but I tend to agree more with Mary than any of the other judges.  Her laugh, over tan, hair, clothes and train comments get old but she is a good judge.   Kat has also ruined the word judges and I think she is to touchy feely with the contestants.  I thought the robot guy was good but I actually enjoyed watching the white guy in the white hat better.  I thought he was more entertaining to watch.

Very good muscle control, but I agree with Geoff--won't make it as a dancer.  Interesting watching Mary and Kat.

Well i'm still mad that high school teacher made it into the top 20 and my favorite girl didn't! That's awful!!!! I got sooooo mad! (My favorite girl was the one with the red hair who danced in high school musical :) love her!!!)

i agree alyssa, i'm not sure why in the world they kept that dirty teacher.

if anyone remembers that weird guy during the salt lake auditions with the pink bandana named michael moore, i use to work with him! he was really funny but kinda weird. he was always obsessed with his shoes.
