Wow, that is amazing. That is really surprising how well he stayed floating in the water.  All I could think about though, was that poor baby calling for his "dada"  I wanted to go pick him up!!

whoa that was so cool. I can't believe that baby could do that. And tonight Samuel snuck into the bathtub! We didn't even know he could get in.  He's always trying to lift his leg over the side, but he finally succeeded tonight. It was so quick.

you can see it on our blog:

Wow. Do you really think you could teach any kid to do that? It seems doubtful with a kid who is less than a year.

Cool video.  I would love it if my kids could do that.  I wonder how they would react if the water was cold.... would it make them panic and forget?

I think you can do it with just about any kid - our friends did a program like this in Portland - they started their daughter at like 6 months and it was pretty amazing. She's 8 now and a competitive swimmer. They also did it with their younger son, and he can swim but doesn't love it like she does.

Crying? The child was clearly singing a tune in his head and chiming in with some "Dah-dah-dah."

Seriously though, that was pretty cool. I liked the toddler who saved himself.

Ya I was also wondering about the cold water.  If it's freezing would they still be able to relax and float?

Ya, I kinda wonder a little too.  I mean the pool was perfectly calm too.  I guess it's better than no training at all though.
