Mailynn copes with a 1st Round Sharks Playoff loss

So I went to the Sharks game, first game in the playoffs, last night with my friend Erik. They ended up losing 3-2, and when I showed up at home around 10pm just as Mailynn was getting ready for bed, she sees me in my jersey and says, "YOU WENT TO SHARKS GAME DADDY?"

I said, "Yeah...", in a somber tone, and she looks at me with concern and says, "What's wrong Daddy?"

I said, "The sharks didn't win..."

Immediately her lower lip curls up and she starts sobbing..."The sharks didn't win!!!!" sob sob...."The sharks didn't win!!" and huge tears started streaming down her face.

I then had her call uncle Scotty and repeat it all to him. "Scotty...the sharks didnt win!!!" huge sobs and moans on the phone. She carried this on for a good 10-15 minutes...it was hilarious.

I'm taking her to game 2 tonight..hopefully they pull this one out...I dunno if she'll be able to stomach two losses in a row.

Well they are not going to lose ever again, but if she cries because they win, then RECORD IT! it will be the next YouTube hit next to "Charlie bit me"

I have a huge confession!! I LOVE hannah montana's show!!! I'm not sure if she is a great singer but she is pretty good at acting.

I've never seen Hanna Montana, so can't comment on her acting or the show, but I saw Miley Cyrus perform on Idol Gives Back, and I was very impressed at how much poise and professionalism she had as a 15 year old. It will be interesting to see whether she follows the path of so many teen phenoms like Michael Jackson or Britney and goes down some bizarro path. How weird would that be to be 15 and everyone's idol? Sorry, I'll try to get this blog back on track and say Jay, you didn't videotape this? Rats! That's the kind of thing that could have become a family classic.

She LOVED the game! We had great seats, 7 rows up from the glass. She goes crazy when they score. She also likes seeing SJ Sharkie. At one point they scored and we had nachos and a hotdog on the lap, plus Mailynn, and she was really upset that I wasn't standing up and holding her on my shoulder.

i think i might be the shark's chiller. I watched all of game 1, and they got creamed. I didn't watch one bit of game 2, and Sharks won easily. I missed the first 3-4 mins of game 3, and the Sharks scored 3 goals in 4 minutes. But i saw the rest of game 3, and helped Calgary score 4 straight goals to hand the Sharks a brutal loss.

Hahahha oh Mailynn what a sad day. But that's okay because last time I talked to you you were going to the sharks game and you told me Deja couldn't go because she doesn't have a jersey. :-)

Yeah, and she talked to Scott on the phone and he said, "Can I go to the game?" and Mailynn said, "yeah, you can go." so then while we were at the game, she started looking around and said, "Where's scotty?" I said, "oh, he couldnt make it, there werent any more seats". She just said, "oh" and looked disappointed. Way to go dude.
