Isaac's First Golf Shot

We had an hour and a half to kill on Saturday so we took Isaac to the driving range for the first time. The video is only a couple of minutes and it contains every word of advice/instruction Isaac ever received before taking his first stroke. Courtney and I were very proud.

What will make the golfers reading this proud is when they see me put the ball on the rubber tee for Isaac's second attempt. He kept his head down and did such a good job of making sure that the club was going to impact the ball at the bottom of his motion (a key component of the golf swing) he passed cleanly underneath the ball and only hit the rubber tee.

hahaha, wow, that was a really good first swing. Give him a few months and I'm sure the roles will be reversed.

I asked Isaac if he wanted to go to the driving range sometime and he just shrugged his shoulders and said well yeah sure.... So I'm thinking we will need to invest in a junior size club one day as it seems like this may be a sport that one day he can beat Jason at...

I've played with Jason, and now I've seen Isaac. Give me Isaac for a year, and I could have him beating Jason.

The day Isaac comes close to me at golf, I'll remind him he's got the body of a basketball player. He shouldn't waste his time with a sport where he can't go pro.
