Just a reminder that the fatrunner football pickems league is starting up again. Makes watching football (and even college football!) a bit more exciting.

I used to be in it a bunch of years ago but caused too much stress in my life picking those games.

This all started with Floyd and his employer Bob Lamb with 15 participants abt 1979 and look how it has grown.  Troy is now the commissioner and every thing is on computer not like the old days.  Thank goodness.  I remember getting phone calls on Sat. morning after Floyd had left for the store from fellows who were late and wuld give me their picks over the phone.  One guy called pretty regularily from Texas even. When Mike Satine was in London he used to call his picks to Ralph.  No E-mail in those days. You youner generation wouldn't even be able to function.

Sorry paperboy, this still wouldn't get me excited to watch football.  Now if this was for the Isle of Man TT that would be a different story.  I've watched the same race like 8 times now.

Isle of Mann as where your ancestors first heard the gospel from missionary John Taylor and came to America to join the Saints?

Valorie, nice non-sequitor.  So just to add to it, the best bicycle sprinter (i.e. the fastest man on a bicycle) Mark Cavendish is from the Isle of Mann.

The TT race is the biggest annual event on the island.  It's absolute insanity.  Racing on the open road through houses, stores, trees and whatever else might be in your way at up to 200mph.

I agree--no one is silent when you roll the bowling ball, or bat a baseball, or hit the ping pong ball or shoot at the basket or shoot pool.

I really enjoyed that video.  My aunt and uncle just got back from the Isle and loved it.
