Fella"s Journey

Submitted by kylie on Sun, 04/18/2010 at 9:28am.

When I was coming home from school Taylor told me that Fella got trapped by our neighbor and he called Animal Control, he cought him the day before we heard about it, at like 9:30 at night, so he had him for a day with no food or water. So when my mom was coming to pick me and Taylor up she saw Animal Control pull up to our neighbors house, she w=saw Animal Control pick up Fella in a tiny cage that was like a foot long, and it was like 2 inches across on both sides so it was really small. When we got him back he was all scratched up on hiis face. So the guy really hated cats, he cought Fella cause he "pooped" on his lawn when there is like 14 more cats in the neighborhood. He was really glad to see me when we got home from school, he was just laying on the couch, really still and one of his eyes opened bigger than the other. Fella seemed really scared when we got home. I am just glad they did not take him into the pound and kill him, or just put him to sleep and never wake him up. I am so thankful that he is still alive, someone was watching over him and helped him escape from t he cage when my mom took him home.

Deja was not so fortunate. Deja was caged and we had to pick her up from the pound. But they post photos of all animals captured, so you would have found Fella on the internet and could have rescued him. But it would have cost alot of money!

Aww Kylie what a happy ending to your story!  I'm so glad you guys found Fella.  Heavenly Father was watching over him.  Goood booyyeeeeee Fella.  You're a good kitty.  Except don't poop on your neighbors lawns, they don't like that.  :-)

Thanks for the update Kylie.  What a rough night for Fella.  Take good care of him and help him get better.  You should take some cookies to your neighbor and say "thank you for finding my cat".

yah, thats a good story, kylie.  Our neighbor seems to be cranky for some reason.  He never even apologized once we told him it was our  cat.  And we tried to convince him that Fella doesn't poop on lawns.  He will only go in a litter box.  Always been that way.  He's very proper.  The neighbhor obviously just hates cats, and wanted Fella taken to the slammer.  He kept saying "Well, you still have to take him in, don't you!?!  Since I called!  You still have to take him in!"

Kylie, you are so right that someone was watching over him.  I am glad you learned that through this harrowing experience.

Geoff, go over there and apologize.  "Sorry sir, it was me, not the cat."

Kylie I think Scott has a great idea.  Take the man some cookies.  There is nothing that can make a person feel more like they are  wrong than if  you do something nice when they have been a scrooge.  I know I have done it!!!
