Family FootBOWL Pool

Submitted by Fatrunner on Tue, 12/22/2009 at 7:23pm.

Folks,

I'm way overdue with sending out an invitation to join the 2009-2010 version of the Severson Family FootBOWL Pool.  As usual, thank Uncle Ralph for putting up the winner's purse which will pay out 5 deep this year.  Follow the link to http://familyfootball.fatrunner.com/ to sign up.  Yes, you all have to sign up again.  Just below the login is a yellow, "Sign Me Up!" button.  Start there.  Please enter a valid email address so I can activate you and you will get notification.  As usual, there are 20 bowl games to pick.  Pick the winners and put the games in ordinal value.  #20 is the game you are the MOST certain of.  Let me know if you have questions and good luck with your picking!!

Troy -- If I follow your instructions above and enter "sign me up", I enter info, then get an error message that my email address already has an account.  If I access the website by entering my email address and last year's password, it says my money has not been received so I'm not activated and cannot enter picks.

Nope.  Recreated my login and password, and still says "You have not yet been added to the current 2009-2010 Severson Family Bowls season. Once the commissioner receives your money, he will add you to the season and you can begin making your picks.

If you have not done so already, please send in your registration fee of $0.00"

OK Charlotte, I guess with the Beavers losing so badly, you needed a distraction.

Oh good, I was just wondering the other day if we were doing the bowls again this year. When do our picks have to be in by? (yes, I know I shouldn't end a sentence with a preposition)

Sorry to Charlotte and all the non-BYU fan Oregonians. Personally, I was happy to see the Cougars win.

I heard from Dad/Ralph that the first game on the ballot is Dec 26th, so I'm guessing that the picks have to be in by the 25th. Enjoyable Christmas activity :-) Thanks for setting this up again, always fun to have reason to track the bowls.

Okay, I can't get signed up. I think I can't remember which email address I used. Troy, is there some way you can look it up?

Also glad to see the Cougars win.  Geoff and Jodie were sitting there freezing through that game.  What was it like, Geoff, watching the alma mater of your father play against the alma mater of your mother?  We were all nice and warm enjoying a delicious dinner while we watched the game at ESPN Zone in Downtown Disney.  Got to watch the Sharks game at the same time.  Oh sorry, Troy, for getting off the subject.  I will have to figure out this sign-up.

the game was miserable.  wind blowing in from the end of the stadium, bringing all the parking lot dust with it.  my eyes were watering down my face, but my hands were too cold to pull them out and wipe my face off.  at halftime, jodie went into the concourse below, but that didn't offer much relief from the wind.  it was more like a wind tunnel.  so she shacked up in the women's bathroom along with a couple hundred other wives that didn't want to be at the game.

but i got some good pics and enjoyed the outcome!  yah baby!

Aimee, you need to sign up from scratch.  I figured most people wouldn't remember their logins and it was just easier to direct everyone to re-register.

dangit, same as most years.  i'm in it until the very end, and it's looking favorable, then huge upsets kill my chances.  dang!

The Northwestern game got so close at the end - it was disappointing to see them lose it.

Yeah, they had so many ways/chances to win that game, and I had them picked. was a big game for me. now i'm out of the runnings in all my pickems leagues. that oklahoma state and ole miss game was just about the worst/ugliest game i've ever seen.

Well I picked Alabama for tonite, but if they lose, I jump up 15 places, and Sean and Scott r in the dough... So I guess I'll root for Texas!

what a wild game.

i nearly turned it off after McCoy got injured, cuz the replacement QB Gilbert was a joke.  Missing receivers by 20 yards.  'Bama pulling away.

Then Gilbert made some sweet plays, got the game close.  So I kept going with it, only to see Gilbert flush it away at the end.

Oh well, I think it was fairly apparent that Texas was going to win with McCoy.  'Bama didn't impress me.

haha, ya it was fun to watch. But I felt so bad for Gilbert the whole game cause he was so horrible =) At least like you said he had a few decent passes towards the end.
