I don't know if you'll like this as much as I did, but I thought it was nice:

Well, I'm glad Scotty double posted. I didn't watch Tyler's because based on people's comments, I thought it was all animal killing, and I just can't get through that. You know me. But I loved the dancing video!! I want to go to all those places. Of the places in the video, I've been to Seoul, Tokyo, MIami, Munich, Chicago, New York, Atlanta, San Francisco, Taipei, Vancouver, Paris, Los Angeles and Seattle. And lots of other places not in the video. Who's been the most places as the guy in the video?

I think I have you beat by one, Charlotte.  Three if a layover at an airport counts.  Dublin, London, Stockholm, Tokyo, Chicago, Lisbon, New York, San Francisco, Atlanta (airport only), Miami (airport only), Vancouver, Washington DC, Singapore, Paris, LA, and Seattle.  Some exotic places I wish I'd gone to!  I'm sure my dad has more than I do.

Well if this is a contest then I will have to watch it again.  Ok, so let's see who has gone the least amount of places and factoring in an age ration.  I have Seattle, Austin, Miami, Chicago, Alhambra, Nellis AF Base, NY, SF, Vancouver and DC.  That is 10, 16 for Laura and 13 for Chaco.  Come on everyone enter your number.  I know Jay, Jodi and Ty have a lot.

I agree with Laura -- my guess w/b Ralph would have the most places in the family.

Well, me, I am just a poor man who's only been places my meager income could afford or work sent me.  This leaves me with only a few states in the U.S., Canada once, Hawaii, Tijuana, a few stops on our Caribean cruise which included the Cayman Islands and Mexico, and my big trip to Toyota City Japan.  Not really impressive is it?  I get really excited because we get to go to Utah and the Grand Canyon next week.

That's a different contest Sean - who has been the most places not just limited to the ones in the video.  I'm definitely not going to win that one either.  Thanks Charlotte for turning an innocent dance video into another competition. ;-)

i've been to 8 of those.   And in terms of 'where else i've been', tack on the Bahamas, Maui, Tijauana, Mazatlan, Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, and that is it for me.

Sorry, Tyler.  Scott stole the attention away from your blog.

Hmm, Hawaii wasn't in the dance.  You would think it would be.

Ha! Ha! I didn't really mean it to be a contest -- I was just interested in knowing where people have been -- technically it was Valorie who turned it into a contest! Sean, I want to go to the Grand Canyon! I tried to talk my family into that last year, but I was the only one interested. Are you driving there??

Come and go.  Sean and Robie and Scott and Michelle and Kasey and Ally and Sammy and Travis are all driving 13 hours in 1 car next week to Provo and then on to St.George and meeting me and Jay and Lynh.  Wed we are all driving 2 hours to the Grand Cyn and then to Lake Powell and spending the night.  I have an extra room that I am going to cancel--which is like gold as all the French and Italians are in town as France and Italy are "closed" for the month, so there are NO rooms in the whole town.  Then back to St George for a couple of days and then they drive home 13 hours.  Sound fun?  If you don't want to drive just fly to Vegas and take a shuttle to St George.  We would love to have you.

4 car seats and 4 adults all in one car!!  Doesn't that sound like fun: )  Your welcome to squeeze in if you want.

are you not friends with Ty, Scotty? It's ok tho, Tyler won't notice if you stole the spotlight, he's too busy trying to get the stupid car to work with the kit on it, WE'RE SO CLOSE!!

Thanks for the invite! I've actually been thinking about it... Of course, Alex would have to come with me, and he doesn't want to go. Leah can't go cause she's working, and she's mad, because she can't believe I would actually go without her! Brent, as usual, is fine with whatever -- but he can't come and help me drive, and although Robie's offer to squeeze in is tempting, well, not really... What day are you guys leaving and when are you coming back?

C'mon fly to Vegas and I will pick you up.  They are leaving this Fri or Sat and I am leaving Sat and driving to Vegas where Jay and Lynh will be.  Or if you want to wait until later we are leaving for the Grand Canyon Wed morning so you could fly to Vegas and take a shuttle to St George for $30 and I could drive you back to Vegas on Sun morning when I go home.  There is a way.  It would be fun.  And to stay in St George by the pool overlooking the golf course--HEAVEN.  Go with us to Zions and Lake Powell and to outdoor plays--Les Mis and Sound of Music.

That sounds like so much fun. If it was the following week, I might have actually been able to swing it, but next week is packed with commitments. Oh, well, I'll make it there someday! Have a great time you guys!!

Hmm, that is different than what I was thinking, so I had to go back and revisit. The earliest we could leave w/b Tuesday the 5th. Then Brent could go, but we wouldn't have enough time to drive, so we'd have to fly. Checked airfare into Las Vegas for all 3 of us, but we just can't justify the expense, as we're headed to Canada for vacation the following week, then Brent and I are going to the San Juans a few weeks after that. We've spent so much money lately with the remodel!! We've got to stop the money flow (or maybe I should get a job?). Sounds like fun, though. Wish we could swing it, and thanks again for the invite!!

BTW, I was at Costco yesterday and noticed they had a sign up for river rafting in the Grand Canyon. So you might check the Costco website if you have time for something like that.

I've been wanting to take a rafting trip in the Grand Canyon - I think that would be a lot of fun - but we'll have to either go without the kids or wait a few years. I'll have to remember to check what Costco has available. I think REI sponsors trips, too.

We're in the San Juans right now, too bad they aren't in the video. At least we actually saw orcas this time!

As for the dance location "contest" I haven't rewatched it to note where I've been, but I'm sure that I haven't been to as many as Laura, so I guess I don't win.

Ok, we''ll let it go this time and look forward to a trip in the future with your family.  At least you checked the flights.  By the way, they have cabins now at Burney campground.  They are really nice and new but only for sleeping.  You still have to cook outside and use the public restrooms and showers--which are the nicest I have ever seen camping.   Sounds like you have fun vacations planned--never been either place.
