Clueless in Seattle

Submitted by Brad on Wed, 06/16/2010 at 3:02pm.

This morning I decided to walk to the new office prospect from my hotel, about ten blocks away. Made it there just fine, went to the meeting, and then headed for our other Seattle office to work (which I thought was only a couple of blocks away). Anyhow, to make a long story short, I walked around  and around, got lost trying to find it, but after a lot of foot work, there it was. When I finished up, I walked out to hail a cab and get back to my hotel. When I gave the cabbie the address of the hotel, he politely told me that I was only a block away from it, and didn't need a cab! I thought the area looked familar!! So I had made a complete walking loop around downtown; back to where I started without  even knowing it! I laughed so hard at myself. Next time, I'm bringing my GPS or a bag of sand to leave a trail..

Well, if we can't make fun of ourselves when we do these crazy things, we are very sad. At least Clark's walking story was not due to anything he did wrong!!

Haahaaahaaa very funny, sad thing is we all are laughing "with" you, not "at" you!!!!  that means we have all done simular things ourselves!  guess it runs in the family!

Nice of the cab driver to be so honest.  Since Brad was so clueless he could have driven him around for 1/2 hour and collected a nice fare.  At least Brad didn't jaywalk--get it?

Valorie - I'm not sure if you're referring to Greg. But we actually went to Seattle together on one of our first dates, and Greg got a jaywalking ticket for crossing in the middle of the block in front of Pike's place.  I really don't think I've ever seen him that mad since.....

Well, actually I was referring to the 2 women that jaywalked and when the policeman ticketed them they went after him yelling and hitting and so he punched the lady.  It was big in the news the same time Brad was in Seattle.

Thanks Brad.  We all have moments when we are completely lost. But laughing at ourselves is the best thing we can do.  anything else is just lost energy.
