Best layover ever?

Submitted by geoff on Mon, 09/17/2007 at 9:38am.

A 22-year old New York kid is on his way to Australia for a trip with his buddy.  They have a layover in San Francisco, so they decide to hit a Giants game.  Barry Bonds hits the all-time home run record-breaker, and this kid catches it.

The ball just sold. An unidentified bidder paid $752,467.20 in an online auction.

Not a bad layover.

and to add to the story, the person that bought this ball is some fashion designer, that is now going to let the public decide what to do with it.  You can go online and vote:

1) give it to the hall of fame.

2) brand the ball with a big asterisk on it.

3) shoot the ball into outerspace.

That is pretty hilarious.  I'd love to see it shot into outerspace.

I voted to brand it with an asterisk, then send it in to the hall of fame. You can vote for your choice right here: http://www.vote756.com/marcecko/
