Back to Work

Good news and bad news.  I got a job offer yesterday, and I'm flying to Herndon Virginia tomorrow.   It is a contract position for up to 2 months, while I work with a team from Northrop Grumman to put together a bid proposal on a contract that provides services to INS Field Offices throughout the country.  If we win the contract, I have commited to being the west coast Program Manager for NG, which would cover Washington, Oregon, CA, Nevada, & Arizona; about 20 offices in the west.   So I am busy prepping to fly out tomorrow morning!!  At least I see the weather will be nice...

It was a grueling week...  We spent every day from 9-11 hours each day, including the weekend, in a rectangular room with no windows, working on the proposal.   Not my first choice as a long term job, but if we win, my job will be completely different, and similar to what I used to do.  So I flew back home on Wednesday, and have been on a few conference calls since then.  The proposal is due to the government on May 29th, so it will be quiet after that until they announce the winner around the end of June.
