Astronaut psycho

holy crud this is one of the weirdest stories...

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070206/ap_on_re_us/astronaut_arrested

Or, in summary.  A married astronaut lives in texas, named Novak.  She is in love with a male astronaut named Oelilin or something.  Novak thinks that another woman also loves Oelielin, and finds out that this other woman is flying to Orlando to see Oelielin.  So, this psycho woman leaves her family and drives 900 miles as fast as she could, to get there when this ladies plane lands.  Nowak raced from Houston to Orlando wearing diapers in the car so she wouldn't have to stop to go to the bathroom.

The plane landed, and Novak is waiting.  She puts on a disguise, boards the shuttle bus that this other woman is on, follows her to her car, tries to get in her car with her, failed attempt to spray her with pepper spray, etc etc.  Basically the lady gets away and gets to the security booth, and Novak gets caught and arrested.  They find a metal mallet, some money, trash bags, and other crap in her car.

I never thought i'd read that kind of story.

I saw this on the news this morning.  What the heck kind of astronauts are we sending into space?  Or maybe they're getting some type of mental disease from space chemicals...ya that's it.  My  favorite part of the story is the diaper.  Don't you think it'd be uncomfortable wearing a diaper when driving 900 miles?  No thanks.

Saw something like that story on Law and Order, maybe that's where she got he idea. But is a man worth your career or sanity for that matter? Or a women be worth that for you men? Insanity will have to be her only defense I would suspect.

Do we know if they were regular Pampers or were they actually the kind of space diapers they wear into space? Cause if it was the latter, then that's much more normal.

Fortunately i havent bought diapers in a while, so i sorta forget the sizes that Pampers come in.  Wouldnt she take like an 8 or 9?  And I would hope that she got the ones with elastic legs, because from all that stress, there was a good chance she wasnt natural.

In reading the original article it said astronauts wear diapers in space so I thought that was what she was wearing .  There are Depends which come larger, you know.  AND can you imagine driving NINE hours--she certainly had plenty of time to think about it so I would say that would be premeditation.

Crazy weido!  Y would u drive 900 miles with a diaper on?  I wonder if she had 2 change it.  I agree with the mental disease from space chemicals.  Is that what my parents taxes r going 2?

My question on this topic is, that I don't get why the diapers? Wouldn't she have to stop and get gas for the car she was driving? Couldn't she run in and use the gas station restroom while the car was filling? I don't think it would take that much longer.
