Adventures in Babysitting

I'm coming home in less than two weeks (where did the time go?!) and since I probably won't get a teaching job midyear, I'm looking to pick up some nannying/babysitting in the meantime. If anybody needs somebody a few times a week, or if you have friends that do, please give them my name and number. I'm pretty flexible, have my own car, and I'm pretty qualified. I am also going to teach some violin lessons but there's not as much demand for that. Those are $20 per half hour lesson. If this sounds desperate, it probably is. After being in D.C. for one semester, I am financially drained!

I actually have some students for you - one piano student and about 4 violin students already - plus there is a group class in the making for those little kindergarteners - not sure how much you want to charge for that but it looks like there could be about 4 of them that want a group class together....and hopefully we can get you signed up for subbing very soon, because around mid January I think I'll start using my sick leave and just let you manage my orchestras and lovely choir for a day or two! I could collect my sick leave staying home and you could make a hundred bucks a day to go pretend to be me!

Brit you should make sure to get signed up for subbing in districts around here. In my school alone there are 8 people who are looking for long term subs due to maternity leave! It's a great way to get your feet wet and find out which districts you are interested in working for... Let me know if you need recommendations!!
